About the tour

The Green Kiwi Tours City Tour is an interactive and entertaining way to get the express history of Christchurch. From Māori and European settlers to modern day locals. From geography, flora and fauna to architecture and the recent earthquakes, we cover it. As we unravel these stories, be amazed at the hidden gems of the city. We look forward to showing you around.

Christchurch City is flat, so this tour is suitable for almost all levels of fitness and is all wheel chair accessible. The tour typically takes around 2 hours and finishes at the Botanical Gardens, very close to the Arts Centre where we start.

Where you will visit

On this fully guided tour you will visit the Avon River (Otakaro), National Earthquake Memorial, Canterbury Museum, Christchurch Arts Centre, Antigua Boat Sheds, Bridge of Remembrance, New Regent Street, Isaac Theatre Royal, Christchurch Anglican Cathedral, Transitional Cathedral, Christchurch Library (Turanga), and the Botanical Gardens. Your guide will also tell you about the graffiti art and the gap fillers.

Why choose us

By choosing Green Kiwi Tours you are supporting a local family who were born and grew up in Christchurch. You are also supporting a company that considers how they can minimise their impact on the environment and provide services in a sustainable way.
